Real Madrid rules out the signing of Man United target after Erik Ten Hag agreed deal with star player

Spanish and European champions Real Madrid have made a decision on Manchester United’s transfer target

However, following the significant signings this summer transfer Real Madrid has suffered back to signing the player

According to a report on The Hard Tackle, Real Madrid has ruled out the possibility of signing RB Leipzig and French forward Christopher Nkunku this summer

Nkunku enjoyed his most prolific campaign in 2021/22, as he plundered 35 goals and set up 19 more in 50 matches across all competitions, helping Leipzig finish fourth in the Bundesliga and win the DFB-Pokal

Former Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick recommended signing Nkunku to Manchester United but the Red Devils are yet to submit an offer for the France international

The 24 year old, who is contracted to RB Leipzig until 2024, is also attracting interest from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid would have reportedly loved to sign Nkunku this summer but have signed Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea and Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco for €100million.

Castilla forward Juanmi Latasa could also be given a more prominent role in the first-team setup

As a result, Real Madrid has decided not to pursue Nkunku, especially with RB Leipzig demanding a massive sum of €120 million for the 24-year-old.

Real Madrid believes waiting until next summer could be ideal as Nkunku will have just one year left on his contract

Meanwhile, Manchester United legend Gary Neville is worried over the lack of signings at the club

However, and believes it will make it difficult for new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag

“I know early in the window but it’s worrying that United is struggling to get business done,” Neville tweeted.

“The others seem set and ready yet United can’t get moving.

“ETH (Erik ten Hag) needs his group together asap to mold them. Bringing them in late will only make it harder for him! [Fingers crossed] it happens soon!”
