Paris Saint-Germain has reported keeping close tap to hijack Manchester United’s summer top target
French champions PSG are reportedly ready to splash the cash and hijack a key Manchester United target.
According to Spanish media outlet Fichajes via The Hard Tackle, PSG is ready to beat Manchester United with the signing of Villarreal center-back Pau Torres.
Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing the Spain international center-back.
PSG reportedly believes Torres will give them the defensive balance they lack to win the Champions League.
Manchester United is also in the market for a center-back after conceding 57 Premier League goals last season.
Manchester United could lose three defenders this summer
Moreover, Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe, and Phil Jones are all facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag believes the ability of Torres to bring the ball out from the back will add another impetus to Manchester United’s play in the left channel.
Torres is a well-rounded player who is not just good at reading the game but also excellent with the ball at his feet.
He epitomizes the qualities expected from a modern-day center-back and will be an asset for whichever club he represents next season.
Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Torres and Ajax center-back Jurrien Timber will be happy to join Manchester United this summer.
