Chelsea striker agreed on a transfer deal
Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo agrees personal terms with KRC Genk on a permanent transfer deal.
Ike Ugbo has been part of Thomas Tuchel’s pre-season training, he arrived on Monday training.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old has agreed on personal terms with KRC Genk
who had been one of the teams most heavily linked this summer in a transfer worth around £5m.
It’s a nice reward for a striker who persevered through multiple false starts in his first few loan moves away after graduating from the Academy.
He’s scored 30 goals across the last two seasons
including 17 at Cercle Brugge last season, who largely avoided relegation thanks to those goals.
Ugbo is now set to join a team that finished at the other end of the Belgian top division
who also earned a spot in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
That’s set to start in just a couple of weeks, so there’s no time to waste!
