While De Jong is attracted to the Premier League and enjoyed playing under Ten Hag

The lack of Champions League football at Old Trafford is acting as a deterrent

Manchester United finished just sixth last season, meaning the Red Devils will feature in the Europa League next season.

Playing in the Europa League next season doesn’t appeal to De Jong.

Manchester United is reportedly to convince De Jong to make the move to Old Trafford by making him the highest-paid player at the club.

Manchester United wants a final decision from De Jong by the middle of June and could step up interest in Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic if De Jong turns down a move to Manchester United.
