It is understood the Netherlands international has no good relationship with Xavi compared to Koeman

Although, Xavi always made it clear De Jong is part of his next season but the club needs to make a big sale this summer

However, as per a fresh report from Catalunya Radio, de Jong will not leave Barcelona for economic difficulties at the club.

If anything, the midfield mainstay would be departing Camp Nou for sporting reasons

De Jong, for his part, has shown no indication that he wants to leave the club.

He recently took to social media to reiterate his commitment to the Blaugrana.

However, Barcelona eyeing Ruben Neves and Martin Zubimendi to reinforce their midfield

Moreover, while already signing Franck Kessie, Xavi could have an overload of options in the center of the park

Such a situation could prompt de Jong to consider his future.

But, as per the report, the former Ajax midfield prodigy is unlikely to leave Camp Nou for financial reasons, as has been claimed in media recently.
