Arsenal has agreed on a deal to sign Marquinhos from Sao Paulo.
The Gunners have been in talks with the Brazilian for the 19-year-old during the past week.
Goal reports that the final details are still being sorted out, but Marquinhos is now expected to be Arsenal’s first signing of the transfer window.
The transfer fee for Marquinhos will be around £3million
Arsenal has taken advantage of a contract loophole to get the forward for such a low price

Sao Paulo has reluctantly accepted the offer due to fears he could leave for free, despite his current deal not due to expire in 2024.
Arsenal is preparing to complete the signing of Brazilian youngster, Marquinhos, with a deal set to be finalized over the weekend.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano anyway, who has taken to Twitter this morning to confirm
Arsenal are now preparing paperworks to complete Marquinhos deal with São Paulo. Brazilian club will receive around €3/3.5m total fee with immediate payment, once final details will be sorted. ⌛️🇧🇷 #AFC

However, the Gunners are indeed preparing paperwork for the transfer, which suggests an announcement is imminent
The Gunners are one of a number of teams who are keen on exploring the South American market further
Arsenal has enjoyed success in signing Gabriel Martinelli, while other clubs, like Manchester City, have landed players like Kayky recently.
Marquinhos is not expected to go straight into the starting squad for Mikel Arteta and is seen as a player for the future at Arsenal
However, that could change when he arrives, with the club no doubt keen to take a closer look at the Brazilian.
