Chelsea target close to renew his contract with current club

According to reports Chelsea target Serge Gnabry is close to renewing his contract with Bayern Munich this summer

However, Serge Gnabry has been linked with a sensational return to the Premier League club this summer

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea are interested to sign him from Bayern

The German international forwarder has been on the top flight since he joined Bayern Munich from Werder Bremen for €8 million in 2017

He has scored 64 goals and provided 40 assists in 171 matches for the Bavarians.

according to German magazine Kicker, the club is set to keep Gnabry as he is close to penning down a new deal

As per reports, Gnabry rejected the club’s first proposal to renew his contract this summer

Thus, Keeping Chelsea alert over the situation of his contract, as Thomas Tuchel wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge

While talks between Gnabry and the Bavarians proved unsuccessful for a long time, they appear to be headed in the right direction now

It is understood the two parties are yet to agree on a new deal according to the aforementioned source.

The German is satisfied with Bayern Munich’s latest offer, as per the report. However, the finer details of the agreement are yet to be resolved. There seems to be an expectation that those will be ironed out soon.

Gnabry could thus put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

He could reportedly commit his future to the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.

However, Kicker has rubbished claims that Gnabry would not be open to a move to Chelsea.
