Chelsea set to make official bid to sign £40m star as Declan Rice alternative due to price tag

Chelsea has reported will not sign Declan Rice this summer transfer due to West Ham’s high price tag

However, Thomas Tuchel is a huge fan of Declan Rice but West-Ham’s price tag has made Chelsea lose interest in signing him this summer

Rice’s contract with West Ham will end next summer, and the Chelsea will be interested to sign him then

This is according to The Athletic, which explains that Chelsea could now wait until it’s closer to the end of Rice’s current contract to try a move for him

Moreover, he would currently have an asking price of £150million.

This price tag has scared clubs off, according to The Athletic, but if Rice continues to snub offers of a new deal, it should mean that fee will drop in the near future.

Declan Rice is reportedly continuing to reject the offer of a new contract at West Ham United

According to a transfer expert Fabrizio, Chelsea has entered the race to sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer

Tuchel has been admiring his potential in Premier League and he’s a perfect alternative for Declan Rice

His contract at the Seagulls is set to expire next summer, with Gissing saying that it is a ‘situation to keep an eye on.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will be looking to make moves in the market in the coming months as they prepare to compete for various trophies once again next season

Chelsea may look to sign another midfielder ahead of the new campaign

According to reports, The likes of Barkley, Saul, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Jorginho could leave the club this summer
