Tuchel’s response after being left in the dark over Isak transfer
Chelsea coach Tuchel responded to Alexander Isak after been linked to Premier league side
Alexander Isak has been the top man in his Country Sweden so far at Euro2020 and had been link for transfer move
However, the 21 years old has enjoy his staying at La Liga side Real Sociedad.
Arsenal and Chelsea are the two top Premier league side interested to sign the player this summer
However, His move to Standford Bridge side will be his reunion for his former Borussia Dortmund Coach Tuchel.
Although, Thomas Tuchel has been left in dark for his move and he said
“There are transfers in which you as a coach are involved in from a very stage,”
“That’s mostly transfers of players who can help immediately.
You have to be involved from the very beginning.
“There are transfers like Alexander Isak now where the scouting staff and Michael Zorc do the groundwork.
This means they know the player and he’s on their radar because I did not know the player.
“It was like that with [summer signings] Ousmane Dembele and Emre Mor.
They were scouted. My person only enters at a very late stage. That’s just normal.”
Despite reiterating that he “did not know the player”, Tuchel insisted he did not try and stop the move for Isak.
“When he was suggested, this transfer makes 100 percent sense for BVB.
To fill this position with a highly talented player: I did not veto the transfer.”
Despite having little say in the move, Tuchel appeared to be impressed by Isak after his first training match.
“It’s a joy he’s here,” he said.
